Engineer III (Electrical)

(Engineering & Operations Support Department)

JOB SUMMARY & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support to the Engineering & Operations Division. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Designs facilities to be utilized in the generation, transmission, or distribution of electrical power to ensure members of a reliable power supply.
  • Reviews and writes specifications for equipment used on PowerSouth's system to ensure PowerSouth equipment meets industry standards.
  • Performs engineering calculations utilizing standard engineering formulas or computer techniques to ensure proper design and operation of PowerSouth's system.
  • Completes special projects such as evaluating equipment or developing software to enable PowerSouth to be more efficient in the future.
  • Responsible for ensuring the success of PowerSouth by promoting team work, group goals and objectives, proper communication and cooperation within the department, division, throughout the PowerSouth organization and with member systems.
