The Role

Entegris is currently seeking aSCRUM Master Project Plannerto join ourEngineeringteamat our San Luis Obispo, California location.

TheSCRUM Master Project Planneris responsiblefor

WhatYouDo

  • Facilitate standard Agile ceremonies tailored to our workflow, including stakeholder alignment, Retrospectives, Sprint Planning, and Daily Standups.

  • Help the engineering team break down large tasks into granular, trackable work items (hourly/daily effort levels) to ensure accurate capacity planning.

  • Work with the team to review rolled-over tasks, integrate new team-identified tasks, and finalize a realistic sprint backlog.

  • Calculate and track the teams true velocity and capacity, ensuring the team does not overcommit.

  • Work closely with leadership and external stakeholders to prioritize urgent customer needs, floor support, and long-term project obligations.

  • Establish robust, highly visible communication systems (e.g., Jira,PowerBI) to track task progress continuously throughout the sprint.

  • Provide leadership with accurate, real-time reporting on sprint health, potential blockers, and engineering bandwidth.

  • Bridge the gap between the technical engineering team and non-technical stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding of project constraints and timelines.

  • Lead retrospectives to identify what is going well and what needs improvement.

  • Coordinate and facilitate any necessary Agile/Scrum training to elevate the teams project management maturity.

  • Identify bottlenecks in the hardware design and support processes, working with the team to implement process improvements.

  • Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.

WhatWeSeek

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Manager.

  • Experience applying Agile/Scrum methodologies in a non-software environment (hardware engineering, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing) is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional ability to manage stakeholder expectations, say "no" or "not right now" tactfully, and protect the team from scope creep.

  • Strong experience with capacity planning, task estimation, and helping technical teams break down complex deliverables into manageable, trackable hours/tasks.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar Agile certifications are a plus.

  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, etc.) to build dashboards and communicate task statuses.
