Full Job Description
As a Engineer II, Digital Systems you'll design and deliver innovative building automation solutions that improve energy efficiency, comfort, and operational reliability. You'll take ownership of projects from pre-sales support through design, documentation, and commissioning support-while serving as a technical expert for both colleagues and customers.

What You'll Do
  • Review bid specs and develop clear, strategic exceptions
  • Select the best mix of products and installation methods for cost-effective solutions
  • Prepare installation submittals and support handoff to operations
  • Act as a technical resource for internal teams and customers
  • Attend sales-to-operations turnover meetings and job-site walk-throughs
  • Independently design BAS systems for standard and mission-critical facilities
  • Create custom design solutions to meet unique customer requirements
  • Produce complete BAS design packages: mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOM, sequences of operation, valve/damper schedules, DDC panel layouts, BAS network architecture
  • Analyze plans, codes, and specifications to determine project scope and risks
  • Provide start-up/commissioning documentation to installation teams
  • Prepare engineering re-estimates and collaborate with sales/management
  • Create specs and drawings for components from external suppliers
  • Select appropriate control products (valves, sensors, controllers, etc.)
  • Prepare RFIs and manage pre-installation change orders
  • Maintain and update hardware and engineering standards

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of BAS, HVAC controls, or MEP experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical training
  • Ability to read/interpret architectural, electrical, mechanical, and control drawings
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Visio, file structures
  • Familiarity with BACnet, LON, Modbus
  • Highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

  • BAS controls programming (Function Block, Script, Graphics)
  • Developing intuitive graphical user interfaces for BAS systems
  • Job-site commissioning and system checkout experience
  • Ability to follow and contribute to documentation and software standards
  • Clear communication of project progress and technical solutions
  • Interpret and implement written sequences of operations
  • Experience collaborating with contractors and commissioning teams

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
