  • Interface with the plant for prototype builds and component kitting
  • Track work assignments and oversee completion of work packages
  • Implement and monitor change requests and contributions to cost-saving initiatives

Job Responsibilities:

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States.

The Application Engineer works in the application engineering customer team and supports overall tasks required to technically deliver projects to production. The Application engineer must be proficient in all disciplines of engineering, strong in customer relationships, and in proficient in general program or project management.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Technical Project Lead (TPL) or Project Engineering Lead (PEL) during the engineering
  • development of application programs with:
  • Defect management, coordination, and resolution of SW Verification, Validation, and
  • Quality defects on a program
  • · Problem resolution and 8D activities
  • · BOM releases and coordination of release notes within the engineering team
  • · Customer vehicle management and facilitate vehicle testing
  • · Interfacing with the plant on prototype builds and component kitting
  • · Tracking work assignments and completion of work packages
  • · Change requests and change request implementation and monitoring
  • · VA/VE and cost saving ideas during development
  • · Development and maintenance of project documentation

Who we are looking for

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Systems Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent

Experience

· Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Automotive product development.

· Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field

· Familiar with typical automotive OEM requirements.

· Revision & Change control (Configuration management)

· Profound technical knowledge of automotive electronics products.

· Troubleshooting and debugging skills

· Knowledge of structured problem solving (8D) methods and/or techniques

· Experience with automotive communication tools such Vector CANalyze/CANoe, Vehicle-Spy etc.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Working knowledge in structured engineering approach
  • Experience in using a disciplined software development process based on ASPICE or IATF process model
  • · Working knowledge of configuration management (preferably Windchill/GIT/JIRA), project monitoring and control techniques
  • Experience with scripting language such as python, Visual Basic/C.
