Job Title: Engineer I- Sr Lead Civil Design

*This position may be filled as an Engineer I, Engineer II, Engineer III, Engineer Senior OR Engineer Senior Lead based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. *Job Summary/PurposeDesign Engineering is the design authority and owner of the design bases. The organization focuses on the design of baseline modifications and design basis control and maintenance. Design integrity is maintained through effective configuration control of design output documents (i.e., specifications, calculations, drawings, test requirements, and procedures).
Job Duties/Responsibilities- Maintain the design basis for each site and support maintenance of the licensing basis.
- Provide cost-effective modification designs when required to improve plant, system or equipment performance.
- Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, engineering, and other site organizations.
- Support safe, reliable operation by identifying and effectively resolving issues via the corrective action and work management processes.
- Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- Serve on outage engineering support teams if necessary. Attend training and maintain qualifications necessary to perform required group functions. Act as design authority for the site.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum education required of the positionB.S. Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline / physical science generally associated with power plant operations, or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience is defined as demonstrated success at the Engineer / Technical Specialist level).
Minimum experience required of the position- Engineer I: 0+ years of experience
- Engineer II; 2+ years of experience
- Engineer III: 4+ years of experience
- Senior Engineer: 6+ years of experience (5+ years with PE)
- Senior Lead Engineer: 7+ years of experience (6+ years with PE)
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position- Ability to perform structural analysis and seismic analysis in accordance with nuclear codes.
- Good to excellent communication skills and experience / proficiency in PC use and applications, depending on Engineering level.
- Desired: Engineering Analysis Software experience
ANSI Required: NoAny certificates, licenses, etc. required of the positionDesired: Professional Engineering license.
