Keystone Engineering is seeking a
Consulting Civil Engineer.Position Type: Full Time
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Work Environment: Office
Physical Demands: Sedentary
Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits required
Essential Functions include:
- Performs advanced engineering calculations, analyses, and other tasks using prescribed methods and procedures.
- Interfaces with other technical disciplines, vendors, and contractors.
- Interfaces with Drafting to provide any required information and reviews Drafting's work.
- Prepares specifications detailing performance requirements, design data, applicable codes/standards, and vendor drawing requirements
- Assists in assembling all project information into the project files.
- Participates in site visits.
- Serves as Lead Discipline Engineer on larger projects
- Assists with mentoring less experienced engineers
- Builds strong client relationships that generate repeat business
Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a Structural focus from ABET accredited institution..
- 15+ years of Civil/Structural design experience
- P.E. License
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
Preferred qualifications:- Proficient in the use of SACS and/or RISA analysis software packages
