Engineer I, Mechanical in our
Mount Juliet, TN facility.
This is an onsite role for the first six months with the potential for a hybrid work schedule with supervisor approval once that is completed (1-2 days of remote work per week).
Overview:
The Project Engineering Team is looking for an Engineer to support the design of Medium Voltage equipment based on our customer's plans and specifications. These products are applied to distribute utility and generator power to various environments, including industrial, water/wastewater, and data centers. The candidate is responsible for designing enclosures and assemblies for our Medium Voltage products, implementing designs, and supporting product introduction at our manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret customer specifications and elementary electrical schematics
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings for development of custom busbar, barriers, and sheet metal parts
- Generate complete 3D assemblies of customer orders
- Develop and maintain bills of materials to meet custom applications
- Coordinate with production and other support functions to resolve design issues promptly
Qualifications/Requirements:
- MUST HAVE 2+ years of mechanical design experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering is strongly preferred; Technical degree with 2-4 years of engineering design experience may be considered
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software - Creo is preferred
- Experience designing Sheet Metal enclosures
- US citizen or those who have the legal right to work in the US with no sponsorship
- Aptitude and ability to succeed in a manufacturing environment
- Aptitude and ability to learn medium voltage switchgear / mechanical design of electrical power distribution equipment
- A successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a strong initiative to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 68,000 - USD 102,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
