Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
• 3-5 years automotive experience in sealing, particularly with internal combustion engine components like gaskets
• Strong communication skills for clear presentation of technical information
• Understanding of gasket design fundamentals and manufacturing considerations
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and conduct tolerance stack-up reviews
• Experience with APQP deliverables such as DFMEA and DVP&R

Responsibilities

• Promote a preventive safety culture throughout the organization
• Support design, manufacturability, and validation for Light Vehicle Sealing products
• Communicate effectively with customer engineering during program development
• Collaborate with Program Managers for timely customer launches and participation in VA/VE activities
• Create and maintain essential program documentation and reports
• Coordinate validation efforts according to DVP&R and develop test concepts
• Interface with manufacturing to meet and ensure design requirements are producible
