Full Job Description
About the role

We're looking for an Engagement Manager, Life Sciences to own the success of our most important life sciences partnerships from first technical scoping through pilot execution, delivery, and expansion. This role demands scientific curiosity, operational rigor, and strong customer judgment: the ability to understand a partner's goals, coordinate a technical team, and make sure Goodfire's work translates into real impact.

This is a high-ownership role where you will sit at the center of customer delivery. You will partner with Account Executives, Field Team members, engineers, researchers, and customer stakeholders to define success criteria, manage timelines, unblock execution, and turn complex technical engagements into trusted long-term relationships.

Our life sciences partners are working on high-stakes problems across drug discovery, biology, clinical development, and scientific AI. You'll need to be credible with technical and scientific teams, precise about what success means, and pragmatic about how to move fast while respecting the complexity of their workflows, data, and internal decision-making.
Key responsibilities
  • Own life sciences engagements end to end: manage pilots, deployments, renewals, and expansions from scoping through delivery and measurable customer impact
  • Translate customer goals into execution plans: clarify scientific objectives, technical requirements, success criteria, timelines, owners, and decision points
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery: partner with Field Team members, engineers, researchers, GTM, and customer stakeholders to keep work moving and risks visible
  • Build trusted customer relationships: serve as the day-to-day engagement lead for technical and executive stakeholders across life sciences accounts
  • Turn delivery into repeatable playbooks: capture learnings, identify patterns across engagements, and help shape how Goodfire serves life sciences customers at scale
What you'll bring
Required experience
  • Experience managing complex technical, scientific, or enterprise customer engagements from scoping through delivery.
  • Strong project management and customer communication skills, with the ability to drive clarity across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn AI/ML and life sciences concepts quickly and translate them into practical customer-facing plans.
  • High agency, strong judgment, and comfort operating in ambiguity where the playbook is still being built
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in engagement management, solutions, consulting, or implementation for technical products.
  • Familiarity with pharma, biotech, computational biology, drug discovery, clinical development, or scientific research workflows.
  • Experience working with AI/ML, data platforms, developer tools, infrastructure, or other deeply technical products.
  • Track record of growing strategic accounts through strong delivery, trusted relationships, and clear expansion paths
