In Controls & Avionics Solutions, you will have the opportunity to help define and develop the next generation of avionics - whether it is fly-by-wire flight controls, full authority digital engine controls, or power management. You will make impacts in the following ways; • Partner with engineers to place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design. • Design moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts for multilayer rigid, rigid flex and flex boards for digital, analog, and power circuits. • Participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to design proto-type and production quality printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems standards and procedures. • Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts list, incorporate changes to existing design documentation, create, and maintain component library. • Provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs. • Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolutions to non-standard problems. Required Skills and Education • 10 or more years of relative work experience with PCB/PWB Design tools such as Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Altium • 2-year degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent • Organized, flexible and able to multitask in a dynamic team environment. • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with design and manufacturing engineers. • Knowledge of designing with through-hole via, micro-via and blind-via construction techniques. • Experience with Siemens Xpedition, DxDesigner, Library and Siemens EDM Preferred Skills and Education • 15 or more years of relative work experience working with ECAD libraries. • 4 year Electronics or Mechanical degree • Siemens (formerly Mentor Graphics) Xpedition tool suite • Siemens EDM techinical ADMIN roles
