Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated Operations Analyst to join the Mission Assessments team. The qualified analyst will collaborate with design teams assessing threats, developing and quantifying operational level systems requirements, developing operational systems concepts, and assessing mission effectiveness in simulated environments. The analyst will perform operational analysis studies using a wide variety of DoW existing and self-developed modeling & simulation tools.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Perform mission simulation using government or industry standard tools to determine mission effectiveness.
- Perform engagement simulation using standard tools, MATLAB, Simulink and others.
- Perform modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission performance for weapon systems across the air, land, sea, space and cyber domains.
- Develop and apply advanced software and systems methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation, analysis and solution of complex and advanced technical problems.
- Visualization of the battlespace at a mission or engagement level.
- Use, develop, and modifying tools to support:
- Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
- Requirements analysis
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.LI-KS1
Required Skills and Education- Typically a bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science and 5 years work experience, or equivalent experience
- Experience developing and using analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, VBA, C/C++, or similar tools is required.
- Candidate must have a Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret DoW clearance with SCI accesses
Preferred Skills and Education- The candidate will have critical thinking skills that will be exercised across multiple levels of detail.
- The candidate should enjoy problem solving and have the ability to produce concrete results despite significant ambiguities in the problem space.
- Experience in multiple tools such as AFSIM, STK, TMAP, ESAMS, or EWIR is a plus, AFSIM preferred
- Top Secret clearance is a plus
