Job DescriptionWe9re seeking an Engineer with a Systems Engineering background, CONOPS development experience, and ability to work in a team environment.

What You9ll Do:- Develop and execute Mission-level CONOPS for the defense, intelligence, and civil aerospace sectors.
- Communicate with customers and other stake-holders at all program levels.
- Support business development, IRADs, and program execution for Space, Air, and Ground Segment efforts.
- Perform system engineering plus modeling & simulation for a variety of missions leveraging Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Provide engineering support across multiple and new business pursuits by developing concepts to meet customer space mission needs.
- Objectively define, execute, and report on trade studies that provide data for decision making to our customers.
- Develop metrics to evaluate concepts that represent mission utility for the customer.
- Prepare and give presentations to peers/management/customers.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Skills and Education- BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master9s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active Top Secret security clearance is required with ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI.
- Knowledge of operations at Segment, SV, bus, payload, and ground level.
- Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, concept of operations, requirement allocation, change management, verification, and validation.
- MBSE experience - familiarity of MBSE and Digital Systems to create activity diagrams, functional models, modes and states to define the CONOPS
- System level thinking - desire to see the big picture and how behavioral aspects of the collection segment enable mission objectives..
- Presentation experience to senior decision making and technical audiences.
- Experience with STK, AFSIM, CAMEO, and/or other modeling tools.
- Experience of operations at different life cycle phases (Launch, Checkout & Initialization, Normal Operations, Maintenance, Anomaly Resolution, End of Life Decommissioning).

Preferred Skills and Education- Broad exposure to the TCPED cycle.
- Experience working in and with controlled, classified security environments.
- Customer Relationships: Knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and analyzing mission concepts, including space, launch, and ground components.
- Demonstrated experience in all phases of hardware program execution, including early planning, design reviews, manufacture, assembly, integration, test, sell-off, and on-orbit mission operation.
