Job DescriptionThe team member (you) will have manufacturing engineering local leadership within our Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) microelectronics manufacturing cell. This process engineering team member will coordinate with the various functions to help support front line issues while driving continuous improvement activity for further cost reduction in the factory. This position is for experienced process engineers who can grow the capabilities of our AOI equipment and provide guidance to management on capital purchases to establish new AOI capabilities. The team member will support our AOI cell and responsibilities include assisting in the development, sustainment, and improvement of the processes and process instructions. We are looking to grow our AOI capabilities and make capital investments in new AOI equipment, this role will be crucial in down selecting the correct new AOI equipment and then its subsequent validation and start up in the factories. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, nonconforming material review, FAI support, and design of custom fixtures for supporting factory-wide initiatives as well as day to day execution of production goals.
This process engineering job will effectively support multiple groups of employees in multiple factories across the campus, and will be empowered to help with various decisions that improve the overall success of the microelectronics factory (yield improvements, cost take out, delivery improvements).

Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or in a related Technical degree.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and demonstrate leadership necessary to support the manufacturing team
- Experience with optical inspection equipment
- Experience as a process engineer in microelectronics or with automated optical inspection in a different field
- Ability to present and clearly communicate data to peers, management, and customers.
- Ability to provide direction to team members without reporting authority
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems.
- Familiarity with Windows based applications (Word/Office/Excel in addition to general comfort using computers and interacting with software and computer controlled equipment)
Preferred Skills and Education- Knowledge of hybrid multichip module design
- Experience with Mill STD 883
- Lean knowledge (single piece vs batch processing) preferred
- Six Sigma training or projects preferred
- Experience running capital projects
- Programing experience
