We're now seeking an Engineer to join our Component Engineering Team at our facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Here, you'll play a critical role in supporting Military Airborne Tactical Radios Products.
In this role, you will:- Be responsible for creating and maintaining component data
- Work with a variety of components and materials used in military airborne tactical radios
- Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues regarding obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages or failures
- Perform BOM Analysis on new designs
- Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in a design and manufacturing environment
- Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Required Skills and Education- Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 4+ years of direct related experience (additional experience can reduce or negate the requirement for a degree)
- Knowledge of components used in the Electronics Industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on a cross-functional team
- US Citizen
Preferred Skills and Education- Candidates with Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer
- Experience with creating part specifications
- Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC)
