Job DescriptionBAE Systems is looking for an Electronic Warfare, EW, Systems Engineer that will be involved integrating and testing complex real time embedded electronic warfare systems. Motivated and positive minded engineers must hold an active United States security clearance and skilled in areas needed for cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams. BAE Systems is focused on enhancing operational EW capabilities for a wide variety of platforms. Constituent to the EW objectives of improving air vehicle survivability and executing suppression and destruction of enemy air defenses, BAE Systems develops technology for RF sensing, signal processing, identification, detection, and geolocation of emitters.
In this position you will perform systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, performing system architecture trade studies, originating design concepts, and/or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex EW systems.
Responsibilities may include:
Working on a team of Integrated Product Team of engineers (Hardware, Software and Systems) on EW related programs performing one of more of the following systems engineering functions:
- Execution of systems planning and requirements development
- Allocation of requirements to engineering disciplines
- Creation and review of systems requirements to include, software, component, subsystem, and operational concepts
- Understanding and implementing the product development process
- Schedule and cost account responsibilities for systems team
- Creating system test plans, procedures and reports
- Working integration, and verification testing
- Will have outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials.
- Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations internally and with customers.
- Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures
- Supports proposal development activities.
- Generation of White Papers
- Support external testing (e.g., Range test, Flight test, etc)

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree of Science (or equivalent experience in a relevant field) with a minimum work experience of:
- Possess an Active US Government security clearance (with ability to possess TS)
- Expert in effectively documenting, communicating and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations.
- Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test)
Preferred Skills and Education- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering
- Project/Program team member responsible for workflow, which is dynamic in nature.
- Experience with EW and/or Radar and Missile Systems
- Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management.
- Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw.
- Familiarity or experience with Agile Systems Engineering
- Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible
