Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Industrial Engineer with experience working in a manufacturing environment to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer in this position, the candidate would apply engineering and data-driven techniques to optimize workflows, equipment layouts, and resource utilization across the manufacturing environment. This role leads factory planning, layout design, time studies, and process mapping to drive efficiency, eliminate waste, and improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics. The Industrial Engineer also supports capital planning, lean initiatives, and strategic decisions related to capacity and future growth. Collaboration across operations, facilities, and engineering is essential to ensure sustainable and scalable manufacturing systems.
This is a first shift position working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!In this Industrial Engineer position you will make impacts in the following ways;
- Perform time studies, capacity analysis, and process mapping to support operational efficiency.
- Design and manage factory layouts and equipment placement for optimal material flow and productivity.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles to improve SQDC.
- Coordinate MEP requirements for equipment installations with facilities teams.
- Support equipment relocation and production transitions between manufacturing sites.
- Manage capital projects and procurement for facility upgrades and new equipment.
- Maintain layout drawings and documentation to reflect factory changes.
- Train and support production teams on process improvements and best practices.
- Represent industrial engineering in reviews, audits, and customer visits.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 6 or more years of overall engineering and manufacturing experience with 4+ years experience in an Industrial Engineering role
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and be able to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other disciplines/functions.
- Strong problem solving capabilities and experience developing capacity models and floor layout
Preferred Skills and Education- Bachelors Degree and 8+ years experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment
