Responsibilities

Full Job Description
E&C advises a portfolio of large international companies on their risk management for buying electricity and natural gas. Every day, these customers have to take decisions on whether they will fix, not fix or unfix forward natural gas and electricity prices. E&C sets up a risk management strategy for these clients and gives pro-active advice on those hedging decisions. We are searching for an energy risk manager to enforce our team. The energy risk manager plays a key role in analysing the markets and giving advice to clients on fixing and unfixing decisions.

How does Energy Risk Manager work look like?

  • Every day you will make an analysis of the global energy markets and assess what they mean for our clients in North America
  • Our ePoint system generates a list of possible hedge recommendations to clients
  • You run through this list and decide whether to make the recommendations or not
  • You execute these recommendations using our hedge recommendation tool that generates messages for clients
  • You comment market evolutions and recommendations to clients and consultants
  • For some clients, you will assist them in the administrative execution of their decisions to fix or unfix
  • You assist clients that receive OTC price quotes to evaluate them and negotiate with suppliers to obtain better prices
  • You track all your activity in our ePoint system so that our Data Analysts can collect and update a clients' information in our system
  • On days with low hedging activity, you will make fundamental analysis of energy markets that results in text material that can be used in market reports, white papers, blog articles, video's, podcasts, etc.

  • C1 level in English
