Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, business, or related field focused on facilities management in healthcare.
• Seven years of experience in energy management, mechanical systems design, or related fields.
• Knowledge of energy management programs and building management systems such as Honeywell, Johnson Controls, and Siemens.
• Familiarity with HVAC and lighting systems is essential.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; budget management experience is necessary.
• Preferred certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

Responsibilities

• Assist the energy conservation team in identifying and implementing energy conservation initiatives.
• Analyze energy usage and develop strategies for cost-effective energy utilization while maintaining comfort.
• Create short to long-term plans for energy conservation measures ensuring compliance with safety and regulations.
• Review facility design for energy management, recommend energy-efficient equipment purchases, and evaluate maintenance effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Maintenance/Operations for facility comfort improvements and energy consumption reduction.
• Develop and estimate energy conservation measures including cost and energy savings calculations.
• Engage in re-commissioning efforts with utility providers for optimized building equipment performance.
