Job Summary Assess the current pharmacy health care market, plan for future scenarios, develop and execute adaptive business strategies that navigate the landscape of opportunities, undergoing constant refinement and improvement.
Responsibilities* Develops and assists in the execution of Michigan Medicine Pharmacy strategic plans and initiatives, spanning the tripartite mission across Ambulatory Pharmacy. As reporting to the Pharmacy Executive Leadership team, advise senior leadership across a variety of pharmacy enterprise initiatives, including:
- creating coordinated strategic plans,
- assessing and executing strategic affiliations and network development opportunities,
- implementing and coordinating key strategic initiatives, breaking down silos and working across departments
- developing and utilizing analytics to drive decision-making; using data to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) before and after, supporting the change to deliver expected results.
Responsible for identifying and generating solutions and recommendations for varying complexity of issues. Works with strategic affiliates on cross-enterprise initiatives.
Work Environment: - General office environment with open and closed workspace; virtual hybrid location(s); computer, telephone, Microsoft application & other software inputs, variable travel to pharmacy site locations based on initiatives, potential for business related travel in and out of state
Required Qualifications* Education: - Masters in Business Administration or Health Services Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
License / Certification / Registration: Experience : - Minimum 8 years of health care work experience in pharmacy or equivalent health care service field.
Skills & Abilities: - Highly skilled in oral and written communication for content, clarity, and delivery
- Highly skilled in change management including key competencies: active listening, adaptability, stakeholder engagement, and managing resistance
- Managing the logistical, technical, and scheduling aspects of the change initiative
- Expert ability to utilize data analysis to track progress and clear, consistent messaging to build trust
- Competency creating a roadmap for change, identifying risks, setting goals, and developing contingency plans
