Endocrinology NP/PA

Southern Oregon

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our endocrinology team in beautiful southern Oregon.

Specializing in Endocrinology Diabetes Management, providers will see a majority of patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, manage patients on insulin pumps and multi dose insulin injections, trouble shoot continuous glucose sensors. A smaller number of established patients with non-diabetic endocrine conditions will also be seen such as hypothyroidism and osteoporosis. Ambulatory clinic, mostly consultative with no inpatient work.

Position Requirements:

Education:
  • Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
License / Certification:
  • Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate, or Physician Assistant (PA-C) certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) required
  • Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospitals programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of one-year experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Endocrinology
