Job Description

The Division of Endocrinology is seeking two full-time associate endocrinologists: one for Brampton Civic Hospital and one for Etobicoke General Hospital.

The successful candidates will join a collaborative team in delivering full-time inpatient and outpatient endocrinology care and have access to an excellent diabetes education centre with a full range of nuclear medicine resources. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees.

Accountabilities
  • Participate as a member of the division in providing call coverage at one of the hospital sites
  • Provide patient follow up in their community-based practice located in the central west catchment area

About the Program

The Endocrinology program has a robust of resources available to provide excellent endocrinology care in hospital and in the community. We have a well-established diabetes education program and the ability to treat thyroid diseases with radioactive iodine. The Centre for Complex Diabetes Care located at Brampton Civic Hospital has a team of nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians and pharmacists to provide care to the most complex diabetes patients.

  • Proven track record of attendance, punctuality and accountability

Osler is a primary clinical partner for Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine and is an academic community partner with the University of Toronto's Temerty Faculty of Medicine and McMaster's Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Successful applicants are required to participate in academic activities, which may include teaching, research, or quality improvement initiatives. If the applicant does not currently hold an academic appointment with a medical school affiliated with the hospital, they must submit an application for a faculty appointment within three (3) months of their hospital appointment.
