ROLE SUMMARY

As part of Pfizer Specialty Care, this individual will report to the Regional Director, Patient Access & Reimbursement. TheAccessCareManager(ACM) serves as a field-based access leader responsible for integrating patient journey ownership, reimbursementexpertiseand account-level strategy to ensureappropriate patientaccess. This role combines high-touch patient engagement with advanced subject matterexpertisein reimbursement, payer policy, and coverage strategy, acting as a trusted partner to healthcare providers and internal stakeholders.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Journey Leadership & Case Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact forconsentedpatients across the treatment journey from enrollment through therapy initiation and continuation.

  • Conductpatientneeds assessments addressing coverage, affordability, and logistical barriers to accessfor consented patients.

  • Assistin coordinatingcare across healthcare providers, caregivers, and sites of care to ensure continuity andtimelyprogression to therapyfor consented patients.

  • Maintain accountability for end-to-end patient progression, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of barriers.

Reimbursement Subject Matter Expertise

  • Act asafield-based expert on reimbursement, coverage pathways, and payer policyimpactingPfizer therapies.

  • Provide guidanceontheprior authorizationprocess, step edits, coding, and payer-specific requirements.

  • Support the resolution of reimbursement challenges throughappropriate escalationand coordination.

HCP Education & Training

  • Deliver complianteducation onreimbursement processes, coverage pathways, and patient access resources,includinghubservices, enrollment processes, and financialassistanceprograms to improve access efficiency.

Account-Level Strategy & System Optimization

  • Develop and execute account-level access strategies to improve patient access atscale.

  • Identify systemicbarriers andimplement solutions to optimize workflows andassist inreducingdelays in therapy initiation.

Payer Interaction & Access Resolution

  • Engage with payer organizations, asappropriate, to clarify coverage policies and support resolutionofaccesschallenges.

  • Facilitate communication between HCP offices, payers, andpatientsupport programs to ensure efficient navigation of the reimbursement process.

Internal Strategic Influence & Market Insights

  • Provideactionable insights on payer trends, reimbursement challenges, and access barriers to internal stakeholders.

  • Support development of cross-functional strategies by translating field insights into recommendations.

  • High degreeofBusiness Acumen and deepunderstandingof market dynamics and drivers in theAccess space and accounts.

Cross-Functional & Commercial Alignment

  • Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams to ensure aligned execution of access strategies.

  • Participate in account planning and contribute to coordinated, patient-centric approaches to access.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical (or related) experience in customer-facing roles/functions, 9 with Masters,BSNorRph

  • 1+ years in Access and Reimbursementsupport role

  • Minimum 3 6 years ofSpecialty Pharmaexperience, preferably withinthe Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical sectors, Provider/Carrier Networks, or Government Agency. Reimbursement and Access experience isa mustand experience in theEndocrinologyorImmunoglobulinsector is preferred. Strong understanding of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of theSpecialtypolicy dynamics that exist in theRare DiseaseCommunity.

  • Experiencedemonstratingexceptional communication and presentation skills, strategicplanningand success in implementation of plans. This individual must alsohave demonstratedleadership and success at working across internal boundaries and be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to coordinate various uniqueobjectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to strict company compliance guidelines and procedures. Proventrack recordof collaborating broadly with a diverse range of customers, clients, and stakeholders. Training in and experience in responsible business communicationbothwritten and spoken.

  • Valid US driver27s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.Any DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years will disqualify you from being hired.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Operate a Pfizer company car and regularly travel by air to attend external meetings and meetings or conferences.Travel to HCP offices as needed.Travel is expected to be approximately 30% of the timewith overnight travelrequired.Must live withinthe geography, or within 25 miles or closer to territory boundaries.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $139,100.00 to $231,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer27s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
