We're hiring an Employment & Litigation Lawyer to join our in-house legal team.
This is a rare opportunity to build meaningful litigation experience while working directly with business leaders in a large and growing organization. You'll manage files from start to finish, appear before courts and tribunals, participate in negotiations and mediations, and play a key role in resolving employment and litigation matters.
Unlike many in-house roles, this position offers hands-on advocacy work, early responsibility, and the opportunity to take ownership of your files from day one.
What You'll Do- Manage employment and litigation files from pleadings through resolution
- Represent the organization before courts, tribunals, and administrative bodies
- Draft pleadings, affidavits, briefs, applications, and settlement materials
- Participate in mediations and other dispute resolution processes
- Provide practical legal advice to business leaders
- Support policy development and proactive risk management initiatives
- Help resolve workplace issues before they escalate into disputes
What You'll Bring- Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia
- 1-4 years of litigation experience, employment law experience considered a strong asset
- Experience appearing before courts, tribunals, or administrative bodies
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and legal drafting skills
- Ability to independently manage files and competing priorities
- Sound judgment and a practical, business-minded approach to problem solving
- A desire to take ownership, make decisions, and drive matters to resolution
