Employment and Litigation Counsel

What is the opportunity?

As Omnissa's Employment and Litigation Counsel, you will be responsible for helping the company navigate the complexities of employment law and commercial litigation, while maintaining focus on achieving strategic business goals that drive our collective success. You will serve as a trusted advisor to People Experience (PX) and other cross-functional stakeholders, supporting both our employment law and litigation functions. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to think creatively, prioritize competing deliverables, and provide actionable, solutions-driven and clear guidance in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Advising Americas PX professionals and business leaders on employment law matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, discipline, leaves, accommodations, and employment agreements.
  • Supporting the management of global commercial and intellectual property litigation, pre-litigation disputes, subpoenas, and government inquiries, working closely with external counsel as needed.
  • Reviewing and updating Americas PX policies, guidelines, templates, and training materials, in alignment with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilizing AI to efficiently provide high-quality legal guidance to PX and other stakeholders.
  • Helping develop and deliver training for cross-functional partners on employment law, litigation-related best practices, and risk mitigation.
  • Drafting and reviewing agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents supporting both the employment and litigation functions.


What will you bring to Omnissa?
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of employment law and/or litigation experience, with two or more years of in-house experience preferred.
  • Proven and results-oriented experience supporting employment law matters and commercial litigation and disputes.
  • Experience with LATAM employment laws or strong interest in learning & advising on LATAM employment matters.
  • Creative and innovative problem solver, approaching legal challenges with innovative thinking and tailored strategies to address the unique needs of a global software company.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively and to balance short-term needs with long-term objectives.
  • Adept at building connections and trust with team members and partners, achieving mutual goals, facilitating good judgment, and motivating follow-through.
  • Prior experience at a global SaaS, technology, or PE backed company a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish or French a plus.

Education: JD from an accredited law school; active membership in at least one US state bar.

Compensation:
The typical base salary for this role is between USD $130,000 - $195,000 per year and it may be eligible for participation in a corporate bonus program. Actual compensation offer may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, or other relevant factors.
