Position Overview

Employee Relations Partner is critical in supporting managers and leaders to maintain a fair, harmonious workplace that supports organizational goals.

Employee Relations Partner will have current employment law knowledge and will manage and deliver a caseload of employee relations cases. In addition, to upskilling managers on the management of cases and support on avoiding conduct issues.

Job Description

What You'll Do:
  • Manage and deliver a case load of employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, capability, appeals, leave of absence and absence management from the start of process through to conclusion
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers providing clear and commercially focused advice aligned with employment law.
  • Ensure consistent application of ER policies and procedures balancing business needs with fair outcomes.
  • Mediate and facilitate discussions between employees and management to resolve disputes and improve relationships.
  • Maintain records of employee relations activity and provide reports to senior management.
  • Identifying trends and themes to support proactive initiatives and continuous improvement.
  • Upskill managers ensuring they understand the proactive role they can take to reduce ER issues.
  • Monitor trends and feedback to HRBPs.
  • DK/UK Ensure policies are updated to reflect best practice, fair processes and compliance with relevant laws.
  • US Liaise with HLUS Legal and Compliance teams to ensure awareness of policy updates and best practice.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ER practices and processes
  • Ensure up to date employment law knowledge
  • Collaborate on wider P&C projects

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or specialist HR qualification
  • 5 years experience of working on employee relations issues.
  • Current knowledge of employment law and emerging trends
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with all levels of the organization.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed records.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 10 pounds.
