Pay: $85,000 - $95,000 annually, based on experience.

The Role

CSI is looking for an experienced Employee Development Instructional Designer to help build the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of our employees across the organization. This role partners with leaders and subject matter experts to transform business knowledge into engaging learning experiences that improve performance, support career growth, and strengthen our culture.

From onboarding and leadership development to technical, product, systems, and safety training, you'll create innovative learning solutions that help employees succeed while supporting CSI's long-term growth. What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and develop company-wide learning programs, curricula, and role-based learning pathways that support employee development.
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to identify performance gaps and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning programs using adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Develop facilitator guides, participant workbooks, assessments, job aids, multimedia content, software simulations, and performance support resources.
  • Design engaging onboarding experiences, leadership development programs, technical training, product education, systems training, and safety learning initiatives.
  • Observe business processes and collaborate with operational teams to accurately translate technical knowledge into effective learning content.
  • Utilize instructional design software, AI-enabled development tools, and multimedia technologies to enhance learner engagement and development efficiency.
  • Create, organize, and maintain courses, curricula, certifications, learning paths, and assessments within CSI's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Manage multiple instructional design projects while meeting quality standards, timelines, and organizational priorities.
  • Measure training effectiveness through assessments, learner feedback, business metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the Employee Development Manager in establishing instructional design standards, learning governance, and knowledge management practices across the organization.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Five (5)+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating corporate learning programs.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE) and adult learning principles.
  • Experience creating instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning training solutions.
  • Experience developing comprehensive curricula, onboarding programs, leadership development programs, and competency-based learning pathways.
  • Experience conducting learning needs analyses and partnering with business leaders to identify performance solutions.
  • Experience administering and maintaining learning content within a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience with instructional design software, multimedia development tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using AI-enabled instructional design technologies and learning platforms preferred.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or business-to-business experience preferred.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

This role is primarily office-based, Monday-Friday, with limited travel. It requires extended computer use, effective communication, and occasional movement within industrial environments. Light physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds, may be required.
