Summary of RoleGlobalFoundries is seeking an employee communications and engagement partner to support employee communications, engagement programs and site communications across the IP, software and custom silicon (ISC) organization. This role serves as a key execution partner for ISC communications, helping translate strategy into action through effective content, events, communication channels and employee engagement initiatives.
Working closely with ISC leadership, site leaders, HR and the lead employee, executive and change communications partner, this role helps ensure employees receive timely, relevant and engaging communications that strengthen understanding, connection and alignment across the organization.
The role will coordinate communications and engagement activities across ISC's major employee locations, support leadership visibility and employee listening efforts, and help build a scalable communications network that can support a rapidly growing global business.
Essential ResponsibilitiesEmployee communications execution - Execute ISC employee communications plans aligned with business priorities.
- Draft, edit and publish employee communications including announcements, newsletters, leader messages, meeting recaps, intranet content and organizational updates.
- Manage editorial calendars and communication workflows to ensure timely delivery of communications.
- Translate technical and business topics into clear, engaging employee content.
- Support content development for executive communications, including research, first drafts, presentations and supporting materials.
Employee engagement and culture - Partner with ISC leaders to develop and execute employee engagement programs that strengthen connection, culture and understanding.
- Coordinate employee recognition, storytelling and spotlight programs across ISC.
- Support employee listening activities, including surveys, focus groups, feedback collection and sentiment reporting.
- Amplify employee success stories, innovation achievements and culture initiatives.
- Develop engagement campaigns that support organizational priorities and workforce growth.
Site communications and coordination - Serve as communications partner for ISC employees at the Santa Clara, Austin and Dallas sites and support communications execution across other ISC locations.
- Support site engagement activities including town halls, leadership visits, employee forums and local recognition programs.
- Gather and share employee sentiment, engagement trends and communications needs from major ISC sites.
Manager communications and leadership cascades - Develop communication toolkits, leader talking points, FAQs and manager resources that support leadership cascades.
- Support execution of manager communication strategies and organizational messaging.
- Ensure leaders and managers have the tools to communicate key ISC priorities consistently.
- Assist with communication planning for organizational changes, workforce growth initiatives and business updates.
Events and leadership forums - Lead communications planning and production for ISC all-hands meetings, town halls, ask-me-anything sessions, leadership meetings and employee events.
- Coordinate event logistics, communication materials and follow-up communications.
- Support leadership visibility activities and employee engagement opportunities across ISC locations.
- Partner with communications, HR and business teams to deliver high-quality employee experiences.
Channels, analytics and continuous improvement - Manage ISC communication channels including intranet, email newsletters, digital signage and other employee platforms.
- Monitor communication effectiveness through analytics, engagement metrics and employee feedback.
- Develop reporting and recommendations that improve communication reach, engagement and understanding.
- Identify opportunities to improve communications processes, tools and employee experience.
Other Responsibilities- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field.
- 3 - 4 years of experience in employee communications, internal communications, employee engagement or related disciplines.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing communication channels and producing employee-focused content.
- Experience supporting leadership communications and employee engagement programs.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to build relationships across functions and levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in technology, manufacturing or semiconductor industries.
- Experience supporting distributed or global employee populations.
- Experience coordinating employee events, town halls and engagement programs.
- Experience using communication analytics and employee feedback tools.
- Familiarity with digital employee platforms and collaboration tools.
Expected Salary Range$82,000.00 - $144,000.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
