Full Job Description
Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate with 2-6 years of experience to work with its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation team within the Tax practice group in the DC, Atlanta, Chicago, or NY offices. We are looking to add a team member to help our clients navigate their most challenging employee benefits issues, including executive compensation, retirement plans, health and welfare plans, ERISA, and M&A. The Associate will join a supportive practice that provides advice on the full spectrum of matters within the employee benefits field for plan sponsors and plan service providers.

We are seeking candidates who possess:
  • Two to six years of law firm experience.
  • A strong background in complex issues of executive compensation, retirement plans, and health and welfare plans.
  • Skills and knowledge related to various aspects of compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
  • Experience providing advice for M&A transactions.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong academic records and impressive communication abilities.
  • Self-motivation, a detail-oriented approach, the ability to assume immediate responsibility for matters in an active practice, confidence, and a strong interest in joining our team.


The Associate position requires in-office presence three days per week. The salary range for this Associate position is $235,000-$390,000.
