Position SummaryEthic Tech, LLC is seeking an Emerging Defense Technologies Analyst who will identify and assess emerging and disruptive technologies for potential military use. The analyst will review research and technology information, identify capability gaps that new technologies could address, and develop practical examples and recommendations for experimentation and adoption. The role supports NATO foresight, defense planning, capability development, and training activities; prepares analytical input for stakeholders; and maintains information on emerging technologies and their application to warfare development.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline, plus four (4) years of related experience; or at least six (6) years of extensive and progressively responsible relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience acquiring, assembling, and interpreting research or technology information.
- Knowledge of science and technology information sources, such as defense research laboratories, academic institutions, defense ministries, and relevant research publications or media.
- At least three (3) years of experience interpreting emerging science and technology information to assess its potential military applications and relevance to current or future operational challenges.
- Ability to analyze emerging-technology documentation, identify practical adoption pathways, and develop examples of how technologies could be applied in military settings.
- Experience identifying capability shortfalls and assessing whether emerging technologies could help address them.
- Ability to prepare clear analytical findings and communicate technology opportunities, limitations, and risks to stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaborative software, and online research tools.
Clearance and Licenses Requirements- U.S. Citizenship required.
- An active NATO or national Secret clearance or higher.
- Must have a valid passport from a NATO member nation without travel restrictions to NATO nations.
Travel Requirements- Ability to work on-site in Norfolk, Virginia, and travel to meetings and conferences for up to 30 days per year.
