Emergency Dispatch Lead
Position Responsibilities:- Supervises the answering and processing of emergency and service calls for Boeing Security and Fire Operations with appropriate pre-arrivals instructions
- Supervises shift compliance with standard operating procedures
- Leads development of procedures, training, etc.
- Conducts briefings with assigned shift
- Coordinates and communicates with manager, provides situational updates related to shift activities and needs
- Coordinates with and supports the GSOC Emergency Dispatch Training Coordinator
- Coordinates and interfaces with Boeing Security and Fire Departments and other business partners as necessary
- Conducts After Action Reviews (AARs)
- Troubleshoots and analyzes equipment failure and initiates requests for technical support
- Requires familiarity with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), 911 telephony, and Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems
- Ensures adequate staffing during shift and maintains shift schedule
- Supervises team issues, risks, and opportunities
- Able to perform all duties of certified Emergency Dispatcher and assist with critical events or fill-in as activities require
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):- 3+ years of experience as an emergency dispatcher at a Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) or in a related role within Security & Fire Protection
- 3+ years of experience with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), 911 phone and radio systems
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
- Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Supervisory experience in a Emergency Communication Center
- Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) experience/certification
- National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) ICS 300 / 400 Certification
- National Incident Management Systems All-Hazards Communications Unit Leader (COML) Certification
- Motorola/Spillman Flex System Application Administrator (SAA) certification
- 3 years of experience with Motorola MCC 7500 radio system
- 3 years of experience with Motorola VESTA 9-1-1 CPE
- 3 years of experience with NICE recording system
- Experience with communicating to multiple audiences, including executive leadership
- Experience with written and verbal communication and interaction in an executive environment
- Experience communicating with and briefing to all levels of staff
