Roles & Responsibilities
Design, build, integrate, test, and document reusable embedded hardware and software assets for
automotive automation-enabled testing.
• Develop SmartBench hardware architecture, schematics, and PCB layout based on the approved
NetNode hardware design; support prototypes, design reviews, electrical validation, and signoff.
• Design or solution a multichannel audio-board capability, including required analog inputs/outputs,
analog-to-digital conversion, USB/I2S interfaces, and hardware/software integration.
• Integrate the multichannel USB/I2S sound-card solution with the VDP Linux operating-system stack;
configure the Linux audio stack and validate capture and playback.
• Design hardware interfaces and peripheral-connectivity solutions for physical BCM operation in
SmartBench, subsystem, HiL, and IVI subsystem environments.
• Develop software simulation control for BCM input/output functionality, including control,
configuration, operating interfaces, behavior validation, and documented limitations.
• Develop hardware, harnesses, peripheral configurations, and software support for NFCR, BUN, and
BUNA modules used in vehicle-access test environments.
• Design and integrate multichannel LIN simulation and emulation hardware over USB; develop the
associated software interfaces, control, configuration, diagnostics, and communication validation.
• Develop the voltage and current measurement hardware, embedded firmware, host or platform
software, data acquisition, reporting, calibration, and integration with applicable TDK software.
• Define and implement hardware/software test-environment requirements for SmartBench, subsystem,
HiL, IVI subsystem, VDP, Linux, Slash, XiL, ECU Test, and other approved environments.
• Perform hardware/software integration, interface validation, audio testing, BCM I/O testing,
LIN testing, module-support testing, measurement validation, and defect correction.
• Create or update requirements artifacts, Feature Implementation Plans, architecture documents,
schematics, PCB layouts, interface-control documents, APIs, configuration guides, bills of materials,
test plans, and test reports.
• Maintain traceability from requirements and Jira work items to designs, source code,
hardware revisions, prototypes, binaries, tests, defects, demonstrations, and acceptance evidence.
• Store source artifacts, design files, configuration items, documentation, and test evidence in
approved repositories; support reviews, demonstrations, audit records, and employee handover.
• Identify and manage hardware availability, interface, calibration, signal-quality, Linux-driver,
integration, access, schedule, and dependency risks through the agreed governance process.
