Job Description:

Job Summary

As an Embedded Product Analytics Engineer, you will transform product and engineering data into actionable insights that support New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), field issue investigations, condition-monitoring development, and product-support engineering. This role combines engineering-domain expertise, coding, analytics, and condition-monitoring development to help improve product performance, reliability, and customer outcomes.

Working closely with engineering stakeholders, you will analyze product-performance data, clarify analytical requirements, investigate product behavior, and develop condition-monitoring content that identifies potential failure signatures using telematics and engineering data. Through a team-based ticketing process plus project work, you will support a diverse portfolio of engineering requests that directly influence product development, product improvement, and field support activities.

You will collaborate with internal engineering partners, industry stakeholders, and global team members while supporting small projects and developing the capabilities to lead appropriate initiatives with coaching from experienced team members. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering knowledge with analytics and coding to solve real-world equipment and product challenges.

Successful candidates will bring an engineering foundation, strong analytical and communication skills, an interest in coding and data-driven problem solving, and the ability to apply engine and mechanical-system knowledge to evaluate engineering data and develop meaningful insights. Preferred experience includes Python, SQL, engines, mechanical systems, rotating components, hands-on equipment experience, and project leadership.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Engineering Analytics - Transform engineering and product-performance data into insights that support product development, product improvement, field investigations, and engineering decision-making.

  • Condition-Monitoring Development - Develop condition-monitoring content that uses telematics and engineering data to identify equipment failure signatures.

  • Product-Support Engineering - Support engineering-analysis requests that contribute to New Product Introduction, Continuous Product Improvement, and the investigation of field issues.

  • Engineering-Domain Application - Apply engine and mechanical-system understanding to evaluate data quality and distinguish valid engineering data from invalid data.

  • Global Engineering Collaboration - Partner with engineering stakeholders and global team members to define analytical needs and deliver documented solutions.

What You will do:

  • Analyze engineering and product-performance data.

  • Support Continuous Product Improvement, New Product Introduction, and field-investigation requests.

  • Work from engineering requests submitted through the team’s ticketing process.

  • Collaborate with requesting engineering teams to clarify analytical requirements.

  • Develop, code, document, deploy, and hand off condition-monitoring content.

  • Support condition-monitoring initiatives that identify failure signatures from telematics and engineering data.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering partners and industry stakeholders.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with India-based team members, including participating in occasional early-morning meetings.

  • Learn and apply team procedures and quality-check processes.

  • Support small projects and lead appropriate projects with coaching from experienced team members.

  • Develop a condition-monitoring failure model and complete the model for handoff to Cat Digital for deployment.
