About the roleWe're looking for an Electronics Engineer to own the design of electronic hardware from concept through prototype and into production. You will work alongside our cofounder / CTO who earned 7 patents for electronics. The Electronics Engineer will develop product requirements into schematics, circuits, and manufacturable boards, and oversee each through verification and test. This role is best suited for a skilled engineer who wants to move fast and help pioneer the field of electronics in the age of AI.
Key responsibilities- Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits from requirements and specifications.
- Produce schematic capture and drive PCB layout (directly or in partnership with layout engineers), including component selection, footprints, and BOM management.
- Develop and perform circuit simulation and analysis (e.g. SPICE), covering power, signal integrity, timing, and thermal considerations.
- Design power supplies, sensor interfaces, communication interfaces (I²C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, etc.), and microcontroller/processor subsystems.
- Bring up and debug prototypes in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, verification, and test engineers throughout the development cycle.
- Prepare design documentation, review packages, and support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and cost reduction efforts.
- Support compliance activities (EMC/EMI, safety, regulatory) as designs mature.
Required qualifications- Bachelor's degree in EE or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on electronic circuit and PCB design experience.
- Proficiency with a schematic / PCB design tool (e.g. Altium, Cadence, KiCad, etc).
- Proficiency using Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Icepak and CST is a plus.
- Solid grounding in analog and digital fundamentals, power electronics, and high-speed design concepts.
- Comfortable debugging hardware at the bench with standard lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc).
Preferred qualifications- Master's in Electrical Engineering
- Experience taking products through the full lifecycle to volume production.
- Familiarity with signal-integrity and power-integrity analysis tools.
- Scripting ability (e.g. Python) for design automation or data analysis.
- Exposure to EMC/regulatory compliance testing.
