Full Job Description
Amentum is seeking an Electronic Technician D for a position on Kauai, HI. Supporting the Aerial Targets Department. Under close supervision, individual will perform target systems electrical and jet engine run tests, troubleshoots, repair and calibrate all systems and associated equipment and performs other related tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Performs periodic inspections and maintenance tasks in accordance with published procedures. Documents results of all maintenance actions electronically through Navy's record keeping system.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs systems/equipment by reading and interpreting electronic/mechanical schematics by using simple and complex test equipment.
  • Assists in preparing and developing new local procedures, procedural changes, and modification proposals.
  • Must be able to be certified to handle, install and check-out aerial target related ordnance.
  • Configure/install augmentation equipment, checks-out, calibrate, modify, and perform acceptance tests on target drones and associated ground support equipment.
  • Support all phases of target operation to include target assembly, operational checks, launch and decontamination of targets.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Additional Responsibilities
  • Lifting. Pushing, and pulling of 25-50 lbs.
  • Work positions requirements: walking, standing, crawling, kneeling or cramped, work requiring repeated stooping, or frequent climbing, and sitting.
  • Working environment activities: Customer Contact, Extended Workday, Offer Laboratory Field Assignment, and Inclement weather.


Minimum Qualifications
  • An Associate Degree in related field OR Equivalent training, (e.g., 2-year technical school)
  • Two-year experience in a related field of assignment.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of electronics theory and be proficient in reading and interpreting complicated schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and repair to the component level.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Ordnance Certification.
  • Must possess or be able to demonstrate the following PC skills: MS: Word and Outlook


Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

$41.59
