JOB SUMMARY :The Electronic Product Design Engineer is responsible to design and develop electronic circuits and test methodologies for new products.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:The requirements listed below are representative of the essential duties required:
- Complete electronic design tasks applying sound engineering principles in a timely manner.
- Participate in new product development brainstorming and review sessions.
- Create and revise electrical design documentation.
- Collaborate with other engineers and PCB designers.
- Prototype, test, and debug designs.
- Complete on and off-site testing of new products.
- Design and build product and sub-assembly test systems.
- Other duties as required.
LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY: - Employee works under general supervision.
- Employee exercises discretion within area of responsibility.
- Employee advises others within the organization on matters within area of expertise.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:- Solid background in electrical engineering design principles.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- C/C++/Python skills preferred.
- Background and experience in audio systems preferred.
- Employee must be able to create advanced templates and linking complex databases, spreadsheets and other documents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience preferred.
- Specialized training or certification required.

Physical Demands/Efforts
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
- Occasional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Mental & Visual Demands
- Considerable mental concentration to effectively execute complex tasks.
- Visual acuity to work with programs on the computer.
- Work requires frequent visual effort for extended periods of time.
Work Environment and Hazards
- Some areas in the building are not climate controlled.
- Some exposure to heat, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience.
- Working environment is typical of an office setting.
