Full Job Description
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As an Engineering Technician in MKS Valves Engineering team, you will play an important role within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will work closely with electrical, software, mechanical and test engineers to design, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment used around the world. If you enjoy hands-on work with both electrical and mechanical systems and take pride in finding practical solutions, this could be a great opportunity for you. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:
• Providing technical support to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Troubleshooting analog and digital circuits down to the component level.
• Performing failure analysis, document findings, and generate detailed test reports.
• Assembling, testing, evaluating, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Ordering and managing electrical components, tools, and lab supplies.
• Disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Supporting lab operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration tracking, and documentation.

Skills You Bring:
• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum 4 years of practical experience working with electronic systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong experience with component-level troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
• Experience performing PCB rework, including both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering.
• Hands-on experience using standard lab equipment, including:

Oscilloscopes

Digital multimeters (DMMs)

DC power supplies and electronic loads
• Experience with PC based applications to include Microsoft Office package and email.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Pay Range:

Total Base Pay Range $30.48 - 50.80 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
