Job Description

This position will collaborate with Operations, Product Engineering, Project Management, and virtually all other departments in the support of legacy electromechanical products designed for Nuclear Power Generation and US Navy applications. The Special Products Electromechanical Engineer will also design, develop, and maintain complex electromechanical systems for use in our high-tech steam test facility and flow labs, nuclear product qualification testing, and customized solutions in support of customer needs.

AS A SPECIAL PRODUCTS ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
  • Provide in-depth product support and training to employees, customers, and industry partners for existing electromechanical test equipment
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex systems needed to support internal nuclear product qualification and testing
  • Partner with our Test Engineer and Special Products Assembly Supervisor to provide expert support to technicians processing a wide variety of products
  • Gain first-hand experience managing projects from concept inception through prototyping and integration
  • Identify continual improvement opportunities and participate in CI initiatives
  • Interface with electronics suppliers and service providers
  • Leverage database tools and other programs to manage and analyze test data

  • BS in relevant engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in an applicable role or field
  • Experience designing customer electromechanical systems
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles
  • Ability to travel to customer locations, as needed, including international
  • Good communication skills as this position will interact with international partners and customers
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
  • Good working knowledge of electronic components and test equipment including scopes, meters, sensors, signal generators, etc.
  • Familiarity with ASME Section II, III and VIII. Other nuclear code or industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with safety relief valves or related equipment
  • Proficiency with CAD software, preferably Solidworks
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $98,000 - $ 125,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
