Position Overview:

Siemens Mobility is shaping the future of rail transportation through innovative rolling stock, automation, electrification, and signaling solutions.

As an Electro-Mechanical Production Engineer in Lexington, NC, you'll help bring passenger coach designs to life by partnering closely with Production and Electrical Engineering teams to ensure designs are built, tested, and delivered to Siemens and customer standards.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Support production engineering activities for Passenger Coach rail vehicles, applying industry standards, engineering principles, and Siemens processes.
  • Interpret and maintain engineering data, including schematics, BOMs, CAD data, and electro-mechanical drawings.
  • Implement engineering changes based on production feedback, field issues, customer needs, and design improvements.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical issues during production and testing with support from senior engineers.
  • Review electrical harness and equipment integration designs for manufacturability, fit, accessibility, and compliance.
  • Partner with production, suppliers, manufacturing engineers, and cross-functional teams to improve quality, reliability, and build efficiency.
