- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of electrical systems throughout a large medical facility, including motors, HVAC components, lighting, and alarm systems
- Install, modify, and inspect electrical circuits, conduit runs, and associated wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code
- Operate and work safely with high-voltage systems up to 4,160 volts AC, including switchgear, transformers, and emergency power infrastructure
- Use diagnostic instruments to identify and resolve electrical faults efficiently and accurately
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on motors, control equipment, and major utility systems to minimize downtime
- Work in varied environments including confined spaces, elevated areas, and outdoor locations while adhering to all safety protocols
- Coordinate work with minimal supervision and provide guidance or oversight to helpers as needed
$45 - $50 an hour
- Journeyman-level experience as an electrician, with demonstrated ability to work independently across complex electrical systems
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable electrical safety standards
- Ability to safely work with voltages up to 4,160 volts AC
- Proficiency using electrical diagnostic and testing instruments
- Ability to perform frequent physical exertion including heavy lifting, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in a large, active medical facility environment
