Electrician will lead construction teams, use a variety of construction tools and techniques, and operate regularly in classified environments. The
Electrician will install wiring, circuit boards, outlets, and other electrical equipment. The
Electrician will troubleshoot electrical problems and make repairs.
Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, panels, controls, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, and required repairs.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions using testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Test electrical systems for continuity, voltage, resistance, and proper operation.
- Install and connect electrical equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, lighting systems, and control devices.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable industry electrical codes and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used.
- Coordinate work with supervisors, contractors, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position may require occasional oversight of other trades and labor on a project site but does not have any direct reports.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates in construction environments, inside and outside, in all weather conditions, and in professional offices. The employee must routinely use tools of the construction trades and standard office equipment.
Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Regular lifting up to 75 lbs. may occur.
Position Type / Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position that requires a mixture of travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) to work at construction sites, to include austere and hostile areas, and to work in the southeastern Pennsylvania area. When the employee is not deployed to a construction project, they will report as necessary to a company facility to perform pre-construction tasks. Typical hours are 40+ hours per week. The ability to travel and work flexible hours (including nights, weekends, and holidays) is required.
TravelUp to 75% required. The ability to travel to job sites on short notice and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required.
Required Education and Experience- 10+ years of proven experience as an electrician, with valid journeyman's electrical license (master's license desired), in industrial and/or commercial environments to include:
- Experience supporting federal government customers.
- Previous experience constructing/renovating secured office spaces, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and/or shielded enclosures desired but not required.
- Experience with fire alarm and/or intrusion detection system controls desired.
- High School graduate (or equivalent) required.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance- Must have and maintain Top Secret federal security clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass federal contract OCONUS deployment requirements published by the US Government from time to time.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review.
- Must possess a valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID requirements.
