Electrician, you'll be at the forefront of building, integrating, and supporting advanced automation solutions. Your expertise in industrial electrical systems, controls, and troubleshooting will be critical in delivering high-quality automated equipment and ensuring seamless system performance both on-site and at customer locations.
What You'll Be Doing:- Assemble electrical circuits, including control panels and field wiring, per design specifications
- Support the build, integration, and installation of custom automation equipment
- Perform on-site installation and commissioning of automated systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic circuits
- Work closely with controls technicians on PLCs, robotics, and vision systems
- Provide on-site support for new and existing automation systems
- Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in team meetings addressing quality, operations, and safety topics
- Assist in training and development of team members
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
What We're Looking For:- Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (442A or 309A) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in Canada
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, components, and wiring standards
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial control panels
- Familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, IO-Link, AS-i)
- Understanding of safety circuits and networked safety systems
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and ability to work independently and in teams
Bonus Points If You Have:- Experience with electrical design
- Exposure to robotics and vision systems
- Experience in custom automation or machine build environments
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
