We are looking for a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to help maintain and support some of the largest mobile mining equipment in the world. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex electrical issues and takes pride in delivering safe, reliable repairs that keep equipment operating at peak performance.

You'll work on advanced mining equipment, applying your troubleshooting expertise to diagnose problems, support customers and team members, and contribute to the reliability of critical operations in a dynamic mining environment.

Base Wage: $52.31 per hour. Additional premiums apply.
Location: Tumbler Ridge, BC
Schedule: 14x14 (days and nights)

What You'll Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild electrical components on mining equipment, including haul trucks and shovels.
• Install, commission, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in accordance with industry standards and site requirements.
• Support customers and trades personnel in resolving equipment-related electrical issues.
• Perform equipment assembly, maintenance, and repair activities.
• Conduct component failure analysis to identify root causes and improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Complete work safely and in compliance with company policies, site procedures, and applicable regulations.

What You Bring:

You bring Journeyperson Electrician certification and at least three (3) years of related industry experience, along with a strong commitment to safe, quality work in a mining or heavy equipment environment.

• Thorough knowledge of the maintenance and repair of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Trucks and other mining equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings, as well as electrical code specifications.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Proven commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Interprovincial Red Seal certification.
