Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical & Test Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, and successful launch of electronic products used in Fireye's industrial and commercial combustion control applications. This role works collaboratively across engineering and cross-functional teams to develop reliable, cost-effective products that meet performance, quality, regulatory, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype and test electronic circuits to develop Flame Scanners & Combustion Control products for industrial & commercial applications.
  • Design & test products to meet UL/IEC60730 and FCC regulatory requirements.
  • Create Design documentation, FMEA, Test Requirement and Design Verification Test Report.
  • Ensure product meets quality, cost and development & test timelines.
  • Proactively collaborate across Hardware, Firmware & Design Validation Test teams during design and testing
  • Work with cross-functional departments Product Management, Project Managers, Procurement, Quality & Production during product development for successful product launch.
  • Support Sustaining and Value Engineering design & test efforts.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 2+ years' experience.
  • A strong background in circuit analysis, design & testing.
  • Strong understanding with semiconductor devices, passive components, relays, transformers and hands-on experience in designing & testing them into electronic circuits like power supply, signal condition, relay drive circuits or similar.
  • Experience working with schematic design, PCB layout, and circuit simulation tools.
  • Hand-on experience using lab equipment - oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, data acquisition systems.
  • Experience in FMEA and documenting design & test results.
  • Ability to interpret UL/IEC construction & test requirements. Knowledge of UL60730/61508 is a plus.
  • Experience running EMI, EMC, Thermal Testing, Input/Output characterization testing is a plus.
  • Soldering skill to have the ability to build/modify prototypes to test and validate design.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and be a proactive team player.
