Work Environment:

Job Description

Pay Rate between $85,000 to $105,000

Job Summary:

Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Recommend and Conduct Safety and other training for night shift electrical department personnel.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of electricians.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Recommend improvements for production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and/or efficiency.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, work orders, and company policies/procedures for employees.
• May be required to work any shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures.
  • General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Capable of functioning under stressful situations.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize work in a multitask environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot AC and DC circuits.
  • Knowledgeable of NEC and NFPA 70E regulations.
  • Knowledgeable of medium voltage systems and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in AB ladder logic troubleshooting for CompactLogix and ControlLogix.
  • Experience and knowledge reading and understanding electrical schematics and single line diagrams.
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems.


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or 1-2 years related experience and/or training required; OR an equivalent combination of related education and/or experience. Experience with CMMS preferred.

Computer Skills: Computer literate; proficient with Microsoft Windows, MS Office programs and applications for word processing, email, database management and spreadsheets.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, Company policies, operating and procedure manuals and general instructions. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints. The ability to speak effectively and present information clearly to all audiences from upper management to employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to recognize budgetary constraints and utilize budgets for maximum effectiveness.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to utilize reports such as uptime and downtime reports to develop work orders and correct issues, minimizing downtime.

Other Skills and Abilities: Must have a basic understanding of general technical knowledge and terminology.
