We are seeking experienced Electrical Supervisors (Foreman and Superintendents) to lead an industrial electrical construction project in Wichita, Kansas. We are looking to hire superintendent and foreman positions. In these positions, you will lead skilled crews, coordinate field operations, and deliver projects safely, on schedule, and with exceptional quality.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong industrial electrical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate teams while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.
Responsibilities- Lead electrical crews on industrial construction projects.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate daily field activities to meet project schedules and production goals.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, specifications, and project documents.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.
- Work closely with Project Managers, customers, engineers, inspectors, and other trades.
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field issues.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and reinforce company safety expectations.
- Track labor productivity and provide regular progress updates.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and journeyman electricians.
- Complete daily reports, timekeeping, job documentation, and material tracking.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and material procurement.
- Support project startup, commissioning, punch list completion, and project closeout.
Requirements- Previous experience leading crews as a Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, equipment, and installation practices.
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and construction specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience with medium-voltage systems, motor controls, instrumentation, PLC installations, or power distribution.
- Experience leading large industrial crews or complex industrial construction projects.
Physical Requirements- Ability to work in active industrial construction environments.
- Frequent walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, FR clothing, and other site-specific PPE.
Work Environment- Work is performed primarily outdoors on active construction sites
- Exposure to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and precipitation
- Exposure to dust, noise, and industrial hazards
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times
Schedule Requirements- Ability to work extended hours, including overtime, weekends, or swing shifts as needed to meet project deadlines
