Project Overview:

Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects. As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team and supervise superintendents and/or craft professionals on a project. You will direct craft professional activities and work schedules, and coordinate subcontract work activities and team development. Your oversight will ensure craft professionals have the tools required to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures, and perform within specifications, schedules and budgets. #LI-TH1

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leadership / Supervision (Discipline Supervision): Supervises and directs craft activities as assigned.
  • Schedules work to be performed and reviews work accomplished by each craft. Planning / Productivity:
  • Determines workforce requirements and coordinates established area operational plans.
  • Tools, Materials & Equipment: Monitors tool and equipment usage on site.
  • Oversees the preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables and ensures the crafts have the tools required to maintain productivity.
  • Safety & Quality: Ensures the most current design documents are used to complete the work and that all design changes are approved prior to implementation.
  • Ensures assigned construction operations and subcontractor performance comply with specifications and remain within established schedules and budgets.
  • Technical: Works with Construction Field Engineers, Craft Supervision, and Craft Professionals to interpret engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documentation.
  • Oversees the implementation of engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Craft Supervision, and Craft Professionals.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of 12-14 years of relevant work experience or bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8 -10 years of relevant experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in LNG, oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction along the U.S Gulf Coast is preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability. Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule in regards to work operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.

Additional Information:-
Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.). Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required that may include but not limited to nightshift or split shift.
