Full Job Description

General Summary

This position is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects in Illinois.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met.

  • Lead estimating efforts and support growth initiatives for the Electrical Area.

  • Coordinate with the field operations team and project controls group to establish budget.

  • Coordinate efforts with superintendent and field construction team to manage resources to meet project schedule.

  • Provide technical direction regarding project material controls including delivery dates, construction schedules and design requirements to ensure additional costs are minimized.

  • Oversee change management and estimates to meet changing job requirements and scope.

  • Coordinate with project team to develop a comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off.

  • Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between all project team members to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner.

  • Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule.

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base.

  • Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.

  • Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.

  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.


Education

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related technical training or equivalent work experience in electrical construction.

Work Experience

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years project experience in electrical construction environments.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Knowledge of electrical construction in Chicago area.

  • Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

  • Maintain ability to work in high production environment.

  • Demonstrated decision-making skills.

  • Excellent leadership skills.

  • Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills.

  • Accuracy at all times.

Base Salary Range:

$121,754.00 - $182,631.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
