ASRC Federal Advanced Research is currently seeking an
ElectricalProject Manager to support autonomy vehicle integrations in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Considering the state of the world today, military technical innovation is critical to defending our territories and those of our allies. The US Army is currently exploring advancements to equip ground combat forces with autonomous vehicle platforms. This effort presents a unique opportunity for civilians to participate in the research and development efforts that will shape future battlefield combat platforms.
Job Responsibilities:- Support in organizing, managing, maintaining and distributing data inputs generated from ongoing projects.
- Holds regular meetings with clients and management on project status.
- May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend and initiate promotions, transfers and disciplinary action.
- Lead electrical integration efforts for autonomous ground vehicle prototype programs and low-rate production builds.
- Plan, organize, and manage all project activities associated with vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, power distribution, vehicle networking, sensors, communications systems, and autonomy hardware.
- Support and oversee prototype vehicle builds, subsystem integration activities, and electrical testing efforts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, logistics, and program management personnel.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and cost tracking metrics throughout all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Conduct regular program reviews and status meetings with customers, company leadership, and project stakeholders.
- Utilize enterprise systems and collaborative tools including SharePoint, Outlook, Windchill, ERP systems, and other digital platforms to manage project documentation, engineering releases, technical data packages, and configuration management records.
- Track project performance against technical, cost, and schedule requirements and provide timely reporting to management and customers.
- Ensure electrical integration activities comply with customer requirements, engineering specifications, military standards, and quality management procedures.
- Coordinate design reviews, build readiness reviews, integration events, testing activities, and production planning efforts.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues encountered during vehicle integration, testing, and field demonstrations.
- Maintain project records, archives, lessons learned, and historical performance data to support future program planning and forecasting.
Required Qualifications- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance.
- Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS, 25% annually.
- Requires Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and eight years of related experience in a technical environment.
