This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

Mining & Material Process Automation Division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop and maintain HMIs - Hoist loggers (Mine Hoist HMI) for hoist controls systems.
- Lead discussions on topics related to Cybersecurity of Mine Hoist control systems, Industrial communication/ interfacing with customer/ third party software, network design and remote support solutions and continuous improvement.
- Subject matter expert (SME) for HMIs, Cybersecurity, Dataloggers and Communication networks for Mine Hoist Engineering.
- Train and support Mine hoist service and engineering team members on Hoist loggers, Data logger systems, plc programming, software interfacing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FATs).
- Create work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility and proactively manage workload to provide agreed upon deliverables on time, on quality and at the targeted cost.
- Help customers to resolve technical issues both remotely and at various mine sites in Canada, United States, Mexico, and South America.
- Perform inspections of equipment on site and create reports on life cycle status and recommend maintenance and repair actions.
- Assist in creating proposals for engineering projects through provision of bills of materials and estimated engineering hours for own discipline

Qualifications for the role- You have minimum 2 years of experience in programming, automation, or HMI (Human-Machine Interface) development.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
- A collaborative approach to working within a multi-discipline team, detail-focused, demonstrating strong communication and autonomous, leadership skills.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies.
- English and French spoken and written. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis
