Electrical Project Engineer

Location: Woodburn, IN

Pay: $50.00 - $62.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Job Type: Long-Term Contract with Potential Contract-to-Hire

What You'll Be Doing

As the Electrical Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing the electrical portion of facility construction and infrastructure projects from concept through startup.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead electrical projects from planning through final commissioning
  • Define project scope and develop technical specifications
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams and consulting engineering firms
  • Review electrical designs and construction documents
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate procurement of electrical equipment and materials
  • Support contractor bidding and selection
  • Oversee installation activities during construction
  • Manage project changes and contractor performance
  • Coordinate startup and commissioning activities
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Work closely with mechanical, civil, manufacturing, and operations teams throughout project execution

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience managing electrical engineering or construction projects
  • Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards
  • Experience supporting industrial manufacturing or construction environments
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of consulting engineering experience
  • 3-5 years of industrial construction or project management experience
  • Experience supporting active manufacturing facilities
  • Experience with capital improvement projects
  • Medium Voltage electrical system experience

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • Standard 40-hour work week
  • Occasional overtime during plant shutdowns or equipment startups
  • Up to 30% travel throughout North America
